Affiliate and Advertising Disclosure

Last updated: October 28, 2026

Frugal Journal is free to read. We may earn money in a few ways. We tell you about each one here, in line with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) rules on endorsements.

Affiliate links

Some articles may contain affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission. It costs you nothing extra. The price is the same with or without the link.

Posts with affiliate links carry this note near the top: “This post may contain affiliate links. If you buy through these links, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.”

Advertising

We may show display ads from third party ad networks. They may use cookies to show ads that fit your interests. Ads are labeled or placed apart from our content. We don’t write or change a guide to suit an advertiser. See the Privacy Policy for how to opt out of interest based ads.

Sponsored posts and free products

If a brand pays us, or sends a free product or service, we’ll say so at the top of the post. Words such as “Sponsored” or “Gifted” will appear. Payment doesn’t buy a good review. We only recommend what we think will help you.

How we pick what we recommend

We choose tools, printables, and products because they fit the guide and the budget of our readers. A link earning a commission doesn’t change what we say about the product. If something has a real downside, we say so.

Our own products

We may offer our own printables, templates, or guides for sale in the future. If we do, we’ll tell you the item is ours.
